This course is aimed at experienced users of Enterprise Architect and covers advanced code generation features and design concepts.

What will I learn on the Enterprise Architect for Power Users training course?

As the course is aimed at experienced users it will not cover any of the diagrams but instead will focus on making the user more proficient in the advanced use of the tool. At the end of the course delegates will have a good knowledge on how to extend the Unified Modelling Language (UML), how to automate Enterprise Architect (EA), how to get the most out of version control and the EA DBMS, how to customise the code engineering and how to use design patterns in Enterprise Architect.

Enterprise Architect for Power Users; Course Content

UML Profiles - Extending the UML through the use of Profiles within Enterprise Architect thus allowing more efficient and customised modelling.

Tagged Values - Tagged Value types, enumerated tagged values, pre-defined structured tagged values.

Shape Scripts - Use and definition with stereotypes, use and definition within Profiles, structure of Shape Scripts, predefined functions creating Shape Scripts, use of Tagged Values within Shape Scripts.

MDG technologies - Using MDG to create re-useable project structures, encapsulating UML Profiles and RTF templates in MDG, customised tool boxes within MDG, deployment of MDG.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and Enterprise Architect.
