Starteam Advanced; Administering Projects is an advanced, tools-oriented workshop that provides two days of hands-on training designed for project managers and administrators responsible for managing Starteam projects. The focus is on the administrative tasks necessary to automate the Software Configuration Management (SCM) process, including labelling techniques, build and release management and change management.

This workshop is designed to help you learn the essential of an SCM process and how to apply the Starteam components to it. Instructors explain how to define comprehensive labelling and branching strategies, build/release processes, how to integrate change management into these processes, and how to automate the workflow between SCM tasks. Examples are provided for each topic and instructors demonstrate how different project management approaches yield differing results.

Course Style

All concepts are taught through a combination of instructor-led discussion and self-paced exercises, aimed at improving your effectiveness in creating and configuring Starteam projects. 50% lecture, 50% lab.
