Introduction to CMMI for Development; Overview

This course introduces students to the CMMI model: its history; fundamental concepts; structure and content; application and use. The course introduces students to the maturity levels, capability levels, specific and generic goals and practices. The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions.

Successful completion of this is a prerequisite for SCAMPI - A team members and those wishing to attend the Intermediate Concepts of CMMI training class, or SCAMPI Lead Appraiser training.

What will I learn on the Introduction to CMMI for Development Training Course?

After attending the course, participants will be able to describe the components of the CMMI models and their relationships, discuss the process areas in the CMMI models and be able to locate relevant information in the models. Participants will also;
