Natanje Holt joins TISA’s Retirement Council as wave of change hits the retirement planning industry

Natanje Holt, managing director of pensions and investment administration software provider Dunstan Thomas, has been elected as vice-chairman of the Advisory Council on Retirement Saving within the Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA).  Natanje’s appointment comes at a time when TISA is leading public policy debate and offering standards and solutions in areas such as platform-to-platform re-registration; ISAs; the future of children’s savings post Child Trust Funds; auto-enrolment and Retail Distribution Review implementation issues.

Natanje Holt, managing director, Dunstan Thomas, explained: “The retirement planning world is experiencing very significant change over the next two years. It is clear that we will all have to work very hard to agree policies and standards before implementing systems to underpin these changes.

“For immediate discussion within TISA is preparation for the removal of compulsory annuity purchase at age 75 which takes effect in April 2011. This and many other changes will need to be implemented quickly, yet efficiently, and then communicated effectively to consumers. TISA wants to play its part in guiding the industry through all this change. From Dunstan Thomas’ perspective it enables the technology provider to be closer to these changes with a view to helping them to meet the many and various implementation deadlines.
Malcolm Small, director of policy at TISA, commented on the appointment:

“Natanje’s experience in dealing with the practicalities of pensions and investment systems changes within Dunstan Thomas supports TISA’s industry-wide contribution which increasingly extends to helping to defining and recommending standards for administrative processes.”

TISA represents the interests of over 120 firms involved in supplying, administering or distributing products to savers and investors. Its membership includes investment houses, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), product providers, wrap and platform providers, life companies, IT systems providers, distributors, stockbrokers, banks and wealth management companies.
